Job Description
Crusoe Energy Systems is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist for its Tulsa manufacturing facility. The role involves assessing risks, developing HSE processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing HSE culture within the organization. Candidates should have a university degree or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in the industry, preferably in manufacturing. Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge of HSE regulations are essential.

Position Summary:
Crusoe is looking for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist to join our expanding Health, Safety, and Environmental team. This role will report directly to the HSE Director and will be located in our Tulsa Manufacturing Facility. The HSE Specialist will be an integral member of both the Manufacturing and Repair Teams and will support multiple groups throughout Crusoe’s operations. This role will support local Management in establishing and continuously improving HSE performance, processes, and culture throughout the worksites. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of technical safety understanding with a specific focus on manufacturing activities. Additional desired skills include being a proactive and solutions focused team member with an ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
A day in the life:
• Assessing risks to workers and making recommendations to reduce risk as appropriate
• Developing and implementing various HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists as appropriate
• Monitoring compliance to regulations, policies, and procedures
• Monitoring and reporting on HSE objectives and metrics
• Ensuring that HSE is an integral part of Management discussions, objectives, and priorities.
• Liaising with various agencies regarding HSE issues
• Plan and assist with compliance audits and self-assessments
• Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analysis efforts following failures, incidents or accidents
• Actively monitor and follow-up on the status of corrective actions, reports, and audits.
• Coordinate and actively participate in the HSE training of personnel
• Maintain awareness of new HSE requirements and management accordingly
• Ensure that the relevant HSE documentation is maintained and available at the worksites
• To develop and maintain a high level of HSE awareness and culture through communications, training, and promoting active involvement in HSE programs
You will thrive in this role if:
• University degree preferred; equivalent experience to be considered
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience is required. Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Technical knowledge of various HSE rules and regulations at both the Federal and State level
• Direct experience with implementation of HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures is a must
• Excellent communication skills
• Good computer skills. Proficient in both MS Office Suite and Google Suite
• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $80,000-$90,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal pay and alignment with market data
