Job Description

Jump Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator for Crosbie in St. John's, NL. The role involves promoting HSE practices, liaising with clients, conducting site visits, overseeing case management, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have post-secondary education in health and safety, experience in safety roles, and the ability to travel to local industrial sites. On behalf of our client, Crosbie, we have an immediate need for an HSE Coordinator to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for promoting all aspects of HSE throughout the Company, liaising with clients, providing support to all departments, as well as ensuring compliance to regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements and furthering our safety culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES: What you will do
• Liaise with internal/external clients, assist with determination of HSE needs, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Conduct site visits to build relationships with clients, participate in safety initiatives, and ensure consistent conversation between the Company and employees
• Oversee Case Management
• Monitor and analyze KPI’s, corrective/preventative actions and benchmark to identify/implement best practices in HSEQ
• Assist in audits and inspection programs; prepare reports as required
• Provide subject matter expertise/raise HSE awareness among clients, management, and employees to ensure continuous improvement
• Support operations to ensure compliance and conformance to all obligations and requirements
• Develop and implement HSE programs including training programs
• Perform timely and accurate accident/incident investigations

QUALIFICATIONS: Your background
• Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or quality assurance
• Post-secondary education in a technical program is considered an asset
• Experience in a safety role, preferably in an industrial setting
• Experience with internal/external safety and/or quality assurance auditing is considered an asset
• Ability to travel to industrial sites around the St. John’s area
