We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Strategy to lead strategic planning and corporate development initiatives in the rapidly evolving renewable and solar energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise across utility-scale solar, rooftop solar, hybrid systems, BESS, green hydrogen, and other renewable verticals. This role requires strong leadership, analytical acumen, and a forward-thinking mindset to shape and drive long-term business growth, innovation, and sustainable profitability.

Location - Kolkata or Gurgaon (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan in alignment with its vision and business objectives.
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the solar industry.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team on potential growth areas, including new markets, products, and technologies.
• Business Development:
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and investments that align with the company’s strategic goals.
• Lead due diligence and feasibility studies for potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including regulators, investors, and partners.
• Operational Excellence:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and excellence.
• Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, and adjust the company’s strategy as needed to maintain competitive advantage.
• Financial Analysis & Performance Management:
• Work with the finance team to develop financial models, forecasts, and budgets that support strategic initiatives.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
• Provide strategic input on capital allocation and resource prioritization.
• Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead and mentor a team of strategy professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
• Ensure that the strategy team is aligned with the company’s overall mission and goals.
• Act as a thought leader within the company, driving strategic thinking and innovation across the organization.

Key Requirements:
• Proven 24–25 years of experience in solar PV, BESS, and the renewable energy domain across strategy, planning, business leadership, and market expansion.
• Deep understanding of project lifecycle, from concept and design to execution and O&M.
• Exposure to international markets, government bidding processes, and energy policy frameworks.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.
• Experience working with C-level executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
