Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a Head of Project Management in Charleston, WV, for renewable energy projects. Project Manager - Renewable Energy Projects Overview:
Taylor Hopkinson is working with a leading client in the renewable energy sector to identify an experienced Project Manager to support critical infrastructure projects. This role will be instrumental in managing projects from planning to execution and closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation, particularly in coal power plants, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

Contract Type:
~ This is a W2 contract position.

40 hours per week, with potential for overtime based on project demands and approvals.

Ensure Safety and Environmental Compliance remain the top priorities across all project phases.
Manage major project phases , including development, site preparation, permitting (air, water, local/state), scope definition, contract management (engineering, EPC), construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
Oversee smaller-scale projects , ensuring all permitting, contracting, construction, and commissioning phases are executed effectively.
Develop and manage project budgets and schedules , ensuring financial targets are met and costs are accurately forecasted.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth execution and adherence to contractual obligations.
Implement the PM Tollgate process , ensuring structured project progression through each stage.
Handle all administrative and reporting requirements associated with project execution.
Strong knowledge of power generation and pollution control equipment, along with general construction practices.
Proven experience in project management, leadership, and technical expertise related to power generation.
In-depth knowledge of power plant equipment , including turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, and balance-of-plant systems.
Familiarity with OSHA scaffolding and industry safety standards .
Excellent team leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook .
BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project management, with at least 3 years in a direct project management role .

Multitasking & Organization - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Technical Proficiency - Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software
