About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Carbon Compliance to join its mission of global decarbonization. The successful candidate will be a seasoned expert in carbon compliance, with a proven track record in team leadership and a passion for driving innovation in a fast-paced environment. This pivotal role involves acting as the internal and external authority on carbon compliance standards, leveraging expertise in carbon and green energy project development to support customer success, and collaborating with the engineering team to integrate new compliance standards into the company's offerings. The Head of Carbon Compliance will also be responsible for authoring LCA reports, providing guidance to customers on compliance matters, and mentoring team members to ensure the dissemination of knowledge and best practices.
Applicants for the Head of Carbon Compliance position at the company should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting for project developers or working as a VVB, with a focus on bio-energy, fuel production, or carbon removal projects. A strong background in completing and submitting ISO-compliant LCAs, as well as familiarity with various crediting frameworks, is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by project developers in meeting compliance standards and knowledge of federal and state-level incentives. A technical degree or equivalent experience, coupled with a passion for the startup environment and strong communication and collaboration skills, is also necessary.
