Head Shepherd - Lincolnshire - £45,000 DOE + House + Land Rover Defender

The Job:
We are seeking a Head Shepherd to manage our flock as an essential part of our regenerative arable business at Lighthouse Farm. This role carries significant responsibility, ensuring the sheep contribute effectively to improving soil health by increasing organic matter, enhancing fertility, optimizing nutrient cycling and reducing pesticide use.

The Company:
This company is committed to sustainable agricultural practices, focusing on regenerative farming methods to improve long-term soil health and ecosystem resilience. With an integrated approach that combines livestock management with arable farming, we aim to maximize productivity while minimizing environmental impact.

The Candidate:
• Extensive shepherding experience
• Strong understanding of holistic land management and regenerative agriculture
• Proactive and capable of working independently
• Effective communicator, maintaining regular contact with farm owners/managers
• Experience in Cell grazing, Rotational grazing and managing multi-species cover crops
• Interest in cattle management with the ability to assist at key times (advantageous)

The Package:
• Salary £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
