Your Impact
Pearce is seeking experienced Travel Commercial HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC units on Renewable Energy Sites located in the Austin, Texas area. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Renewable industry. This position is up to 100% travel, but candidates should reside in the Richmond, VA area.
Core Responsibilities
• Maintaining commercial cooling systems on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire HVAC units.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
• Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
• Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience
• Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
• 4+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Physical/Work Environment
At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
• Candidates should reside in the Richmond, VA area.
• Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
• Travel for work (up to 100%) is required, especially during busy summer months.
• Driving to remote work sites as needed.
• Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
• Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
• Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.
Compensation: $35.00-$45.00 hourly/DOE and Per Diem
