Ameresco is hiring a commercial HVAC Field Technician in Framingham, MA, focusing on installations and maintenance of HVAC systems on Renewable Energy Sites across New England. The role requires travel, after-hours availability, and a minimum of two years of HVAC maintenance experience. Ameresco is seeking experienced a commercial HVAC Field Technician to join our team with a focus on installations and maintenance of commercial HVAC units on Renewable Energy Sites located throughout New England. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Renewable industry.

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining commercial cooling systems on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) focusing on installations including pipefitting of entire systems and diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance.
• Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season equipment.
• Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
• Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
• Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend callouts/shifts as needed.
• Occasional travel outside of New England as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or an equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience with HVAC maintenance in a commercial setting.
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems. Fire alarm experience is highly desirable.
• Level 2 or Universal EPA Certificate is required at time of hire.

Additional Qualifications:
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
• Must be willing and able to comply with OSHA Standards.
• Available to travel up to 100%, especially during busy summer months.
• Driving to remote work sites as needed.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and ambient temperatures.
• Physically able to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
• Able to comply with FCC/EPA/OSHA Regulations.
• Must have a valid driver's license in good standing issued by state of residence.
