Job Description
NOV, Inc. is seeking an HSE Specialist in Evansville, WY, responsible for compliance reviews, risk assessments, and HSE management support. The role includes maintaining HSE logs, preparing reports, advising on safety issues, and conducting training. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in HSE or related field and at least 3 years of experience. The position involves working both in an office and on the production floor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
• Maintain relevant HSE logs.
• Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare applicable HSE reports a necessary.
• Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management.
• Participate in detailed incident investigations and promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
• Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training.
• Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor's Degree in HSE field or Occupational Health Certificate is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of HSE experience is required.
• Must have a working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and industry standards (NFPA, ASME, ANSI, etc.) applicable to the manufacturing industry.
• First aid, CPR, and AED trainer preferred.
• Writes, sends and receives emails to internal and external customers.
• Able to present and train multiple personnel in small or large groups.
• May use company software to include: JDE, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, UKG Pro Workforce Management, and others as they become available.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Exposure to moving equipment while within the production floor.
• Exposed to loud noise when walking within the production floor.
• Works in an office environment setting roughly 50% of day, 50% of the day is spent in the production floor pending operational needs.
• Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate and shop temperature.

• Adheres to facility safety policies and facilitates/attends all monthly safety training.
• Attends all Human Resources directed training via classroom and/or Computer Based Trainings.
• Attention to detail, problem solving, and capability to work well under deadlines.
• Communicates and works well with a diverse group of personnel, Supervisors, and Managers.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
