Our Engineering Department in Tucson is adding an experienced
Group

LeadourMining and Industrial**team! This position would split time

between group management and senior project management/engineering. The

Mining and Industrial (M&I) team focuses on a wide variety of fluid

conveyance and processing systems. This position will help direct the

M&I group's activities, monitor group performance, monitor workload,

develop and mentor newer engineers and other technical professionals.

The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to further build

our market share by fostering relationships with current and future

clients.

What will I be doing?
• Managing and mentoring Professional Engineers (PE's), Project

Managers (PM's), Engineers In Training (EIT's), design drafters,

and other technical staff.
• Oversight of junior staff members, guiding career and professional

development while aligning these goals to benefit the

mining/industrial group and engineering department as a whole.
• Oversight of group workload, performance, and adherence to WestLand

quality plan.
• Coordinating with Department Director to establish group strategy,

identify market trends and opportunities, budgeting and planning

event attendance, conference attendance and growth planning for the

group.
• Creating and developing written proposals.
• Developing and managing engineering design projects. This includes

dewatering, reclaimed water systems, process solutions, slurry

systems, well fields, storm water controls, water treatment, and

source water acquisition projects.
• Managing and coordinating deliverables from subcontractors, vendors,

and partner consultants.
• Facilitating and/or coordinating communication and the delivery of

information between WestLand, our subcontractors, and our vendors

with our clients.
• Building relationships with current and future clients and vendors.

What qualifications are required for this role?
• You will have a bachelor's degree in a related engineering

discipline or in a related field. Additional years of experience may

substitute for education.
• Preference will be given to those candidates that are registered (or

have the ability to register) as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the

State of Arizona.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working with mining

systems including water, mining solution, and slurry systems.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a project manager in

an engineering environment.
• Experience developing written proposals and selling engineering

consulting services.
• Experience managing multi-person teams of mixed experience leve ls,

project related experience may apply.
• Preference will be given to those candidates with experience

managing teams on a department level, responsible for team

operational performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel,

Project, Outlook).

The salary range for this position is $131,000 - $165,000.00 per year

plus discretionary bonuses.
