Job Description

NTU International A/S is seeking a Grid Integration & Energy Systems Expert for a project in Bulgaria, starting July 2025, lasting 20 months. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, with at least 10 years of experience in power system planning and grid integration. Proficiency in grid modeling software and experience with EU power systems are preferred. This is a full-time position based in Arkansas.
NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The intended start date is July 2025 (the “Start Date”) and the period of implementation of the Assignment will be 20 months from this date (the “Period of Implementation”).

Key Expert: Grid Integration & Energy Systems Expert (Cat. II)

Qualifications and skills:
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (minimum requirement).
• Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English (minimum requirement).
• Proficiency in grid modelling software (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, or similar) will be considered an asset.

General professional experience:
• At least 10 years of professional experience in power system planning, grid integration of renewable energy, and energy infrastructure projects (minimum requirement).

Specific professional experience:
• Experience conducting grid impact assessments, interconnection studies, and regulatory compliance reviews, as demonstrated in at least three projects in the expert’s CV (minimum requirement).
• Knowledge of grid codes, transmission planning, and smart grid technologies will be considered an asset.
• Experience working with EU power system operators and regulators will be considered an asset.
