Greenhouse Production Member

Crisp Farms is seeking a Greenhouse Production Member for their Bastrop, TX location. The role involves daily operations of an organic aquaponics system, including seeding, harvesting, and greenhouse maintenance. Candidates should be energetic, hard-working, and reliable, with an interest in organic agriculture. No experience is necessary. The job is full-time with a pay range of $14.50 - $17.50 per hour and includes benefits like paid time off.

Crisp Farms is a relatively new agricultural start-up committed to increasing the accessibility and affordability of healthy local Organic produce for Texans. At our Smithville, TX greenhouse we are seeking someone to assist in the daily operations of our organic aquaponics system and to help with our daily production. No experience is necessary! We just ask that you be energetic, a hard worker, willing to learn, team oriented, and be reliable.

Job tasks include seeding, transplanting, harvesting and packaging product, washing and sanitizing growing equipment, greenhouse sanitation, pest management activities, operating water filtration and environmental control equipment, monitoring water quality, data management, maintaining the greenhouse facility, maintenance, assisting in research projects, and groundskeeping. Job tasks, responsibilities, and compensation may vary dependent upon the skills of the successful candidate.

About you:

-You're an energetic, self-motivated, hard-working, organized, and detail-oriented individual

-You thrive in a fast paced and ever changing environment.

-You have experience or an interest in organic agriculture and/or controlled environment agriculture, gardening, and/or plants. (This isn't necessary, but it does help!)

-You're friendly, have strong communication skills, and are easy to work with

-You're comfortable writing and maintaining records and reports

-You're on time, reliable, and have your own transportation

-You have a high-school diploma or relevant work experience

-You're able to lift 75 lbs. regularly, able to work standing for prolonged periods of time, and comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 34-95 F

-You are comfortable going up and down ladders.

-You're able to work a standard M-F 40 hour work week with the ability to take on two 1 hour weekend shifts once per month.
