The State Agency Greenhouse Gas Emissions Analyst (Environmental Specialist 5) position at the Washington Department of Ecology is responsible for researching and managing data related to greenhouse gas emissions. Responsibilities
• Research and manage data related to greenhouse gas emissions.

• Provide timely greenhouse gas emissions data and reduction projections.

• Enhance the state agency greenhouse gas reporting system.

• Collaborate with the Department of Commerce's SEEP Office.

• Support analyses and continuous improvement of the statewide greenhouse gas inventory.

• Direct the agency's work on the Washington State Agency Greenhouse Gas Inventory.

• Manage and improve the State Agency Greenhouse Gas data management and reporting systems.

• Perform sectoral analyses and model emissions data for the inventory.

• Provide technical expertise on emissions calculation methods.

Requirements
• Doctoral degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Experience in environmental analysis or control, or environmental planning.

• Proficiency in carbon accounting and greenhouse gas emissions reporting.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data management.

• Experience working with diverse populations, including people with disabilities.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with sectoral greenhouse gas modeling.
