We are looking for a Greenhouse Assistant - Contract to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK.

We are looking for a Greenhouse assistant to complete day to day tasks related to the greenhouse projects and operational requirements.

As a Greenhouse Assistant - Contract, you create chemistry by...
• Providing assistance to Greenhouse Breeding Technician’s and/or Double Haploid Technicians in managing Greenhouse plants.
• Ensuring seed quality and quantity for continued use in the Greenhouse and Double Haploid programs. This involves seeding to harvest responsibilities, tissue and seed sampling, removal of contaminants, pollinators and pollination control, and maintenance and care of greenhouse plants.
• Providing assistance in cleaning of greenhouse and stocking of supplies.
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in support of health and safety guidelines.

If you have...
• Or are pursuing a Horticulture certificate, Diploma in Agriculture or have previous experience in a greenhouse environment on a general basis (general greenhouse work).
• Kowledge or experience in a greenhouse environment and with the general care and maintenance of plants.
• Basic computer/data entry skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to take initiative and work in a team environment.
• Excellent organization and record keeping skills.
