C40 Cities is seeking a highly skilled Green Shipping and Ports Specialist to join our team in Mumbai, India. As a key member of the Ports and Shipping program, you will play a crucial role in delivering our annual Green Ports Forum workshop, building relationships with stakeholders, and supporting the development of sustainable port and city partnerships.

About the Role:
The Green Shipping and Ports Specialist will be responsible for working closely with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and the Mumbai Port Authority to deliver the Green Ports Forum Annual workshop. This will include facilitating dialogues in working groups, producing relevant project materials, and providing project management support to ensure successful delivery of the event.

The ideal candidate will have experience in event coordination, project management, and stakeholder engagement, as well as strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Green Ports Forum Annual workshop, including facilitation of dialogues in working groups and production of project materials.
- Provide project management support to ensure successful delivery of the event, including event logistics, registration, and participant support.
- Build and foster new relationships to expand C40's participation in Green Ports and Shipping activities in India.
- Develop and prepare content for working group meetings, including summaries and reports.
- Support stakeholder engagement with government officials, ports authorities, maritime industry, and non-governmental organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in event coordination, project management, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills, with ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Excellent organizational skills, with good attention to detail and ability to work independently across different teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work across time zones and coordinate international meetings.
- Experience in multicultural environments and simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences.
