Brownfields Redevelopment Coordinator

The Brownfields Redevelopment Coordinator will play a key role in the redevelopment of contaminated sites, overseeing work on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants, including assessment, cleanup, loan fund, multipurpose, and workforce development funding. The coordinator will manage existing grants, conduct community outreach, market the program to development, real estate and related industry sectors, and coordinate with departments to understand program needs related to brownfields funding.

The role involves grant management, budgeting, project management, and reporting, as well as reviewing Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs), remediation reports, and coordinating with departments to identify and pursue funding opportunities to support and advance brownfields redevelopment goals.

Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in environmental project management or a related field.

• Familiarity with EPA grant programs and application processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working on brownfields redevelopment projects, including assessment, cleanup, and reuse planning.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental permitting and compliance.
• Project management certifications, such as PMP or AICP.

About This Position:

This is a full-time position within the Office of Environmental Programs (OEP). OEP develops environmental policy, oversees environmental compliance, and leads environmental initiatives.
