About the position

Buro Happold is seeking a full-time Graduate Advisory Consultant in Urban Development to join their team in New York City. This role focuses on shaping the future of cities and the built environment through sustainable development practices. The consultant will engage in technical data analysis, modeling, and the creation of high-quality materials for clients, contributing to strategic planning and sustainability projects.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical data analysis and modeling support for various projects.

• Produce data visualization and spatial analysis graphics.
,
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality materials to clients, including reports and presentations.
,
• Develop energy, carbon, water, and waste analysis to reduce impact and resource consumption.
,
• Participate in strategic planning projects related to sustainability and climate action.
,
• Create client PowerPoint presentations, memos, and reports.
,
• Investigate site strategies for stormwater management and improved environmental quality.
,
• Assess renewable energy production feasibility and research viable technologies.
,
• Support business development through market research and proposal writing.

Requirements
• A passion for sustainable development and the built environment.
,
• Proven interest in sustainability and engineering-related fields.
,
• Graphic skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
,
• Internship or co-op experience at a sustainability or engineering-related firm is advantageous.
,
• Ability to communicate technical ideas in an accessible manner.
,
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Any 3rd party credentials such as LEED AP, WELL AP, or Fitwel Ambassador are advantageous.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with market research and formal proposal production.

• Familiarity with sustainability metrics and analysis tools.
