Redwood Materials is seeking a Global Supply Manager in Nevada to oversee the purchasing of consumables and specialty materials. Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We're doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Global Supply Manager
Redwood Materials is looking for an experienced Global Supply Manager to manage the purchasing of consumables and specialty materials. This person will collaborate with regional and global resources to ensure optimal buying efficiencies and support corporate objectives for the achievement of targeted profitability for our new projects.
Responsibilities will include:
• Leads the purchasing of consumables and specialty materials.
• Collaborates with internal teams to develop and implement strategies, and tactical and operational plans for the procurement of consumables and specialty materials required for all applications and product development.
• Reviews and analyzes activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine the company's progress toward the stated goals of the project team, including business and financial goals and objectives.
• Coordinates activities with suppliers and vendors entering into contracts, negotiating contracts and products, negotiating lines of credit, etc.
• Makes and/or executes decisions on project purchases.
• Oversees and coordinates development activities between suppliers and development teams to ensure overall sourcing and procurement is aligned with corporate directives.
• Travels as required at company expense.
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Engineering Background preferred.
• 5-7 years in Supply Chain/Purchasing/Procurement.
• Strong analytical and excel modeling skills.
• Experience in direct sourcing of consumables and commodities, metals experience preferred.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, actively prioritize and multi-task.
• Desire to learn and grow within the procurement function.
• A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
