Job Description
The Ocean Cleanup Technologies B.V. is seeking a Global Sales Operations Manager based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This full-time role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, and analyzing sales data to drive performance. The ideal candidate should have over 7 years of experience in sales and management, preferably in an international context. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

MISSION TO METRICS
The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop technology to rid the world’s oceans and rivers of plastic. It’s the largest cleanup in history and cannot be realized without funding and stable income streams. We have several teams working on our funding and financial growth: the Business Development team, our Partnerships and Funding team, the Catch Team, and our Global Public Affairs Team.
Together these teams form our financial growth- or sales engine. We are now looking for a Global Sales Operations Manager, who is passionate and driven about finding ways to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales organization. He or she will help create a high-performing sales organization that drives sustained financial growth and ensures long-term success for The Ocean Cleanup.

THE ASSIGNMENT
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
Develop Sales Strategy:
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies
• Monitor and refine sales processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Set clear, achievable goals and OKRs per quarter, and ensure these goals are communicated effectively across the sales team
Ensure Operational Efficiency:
• Streamline sales processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement best practices
• Drive Performance Management:
• Establish sales performance metrics, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights to optimize sales team performance
• Visualize the sales performance in data and pipelines
• Become the one source of truth when it comes to sales data and insights
Sales Insights:
• Analyze sales data, trends, and forecasts to provide strategic recommendations and support data-driven decision-making
• Ensure and provide insightful data for and sales performance updates to senior leadership and the wider organization
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with other teams, like Oceans, Rivers, Finance, Communications, and others to ensure the execution of sales initiatives
Sales Technology Management:
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of our sales tools and ensure data accuracy and integrity
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Academic level of thinking and communication skills, preferably with a university degree, for example in Business Administration, Technology, Sales, Business Economics, Finance
• 7+ years experience and ‘hands-on’ experience in sales and management in an international organization
• Proven success in driving sales operations before
• Strongly preferred: significant experience in international business development environment
• Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic environments

• You are hands-on and have a can-do mentality
• ‘Data-driven’ is your middle name
• Your relationship- and communication skills are outstanding
• You are result-driven
• You love to build, improve, and get things done
• You enjoy getting the seemingly impossible done and can deal with changes and surprises
