Role Description:

We are looking for a driven individual to join the Global Markets COO team supporting the Sustainable Finance Group in London. This pivotal role will contribute to executing the GSFG business strategy, optimizing governance frameworks, driving regulatory implementation, and enhancing overall business performance. Collaborate with senior leadership in the US and various business lines to spearhead strategic initiatives that elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of our Global Markets franchise.

Responsibilities:
• Assist senior leadership in executing strategic initiatives, launching new products, and developing business expansion strategies.
• Represent the First Line Unit (FLU) in regional governance routines, internal audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, collaborating with Lines of Business and Enterprise stakeholders.
• Partner with Global Compliance and Operational Risk teams to uphold business continuity and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for optimizing expenses and improving efficiency while enhancing management reporting frameworks.
• Manage business-as-usual processes, such as risk attestations and policy compliance.
• Lead high-profile projects, ensuring timely execution and clear communication with stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For:
• Demonstrated experience in financial services, particularly in Global Markets or regulatory risk projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to distill complex concepts for senior leadership.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships across business, risk, and control functions.
• Skill in synthesizing large volumes of data to identify trends and develop actionable plans.
• Experience in identifying control gaps and implementing effective, sustainable solutions.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and competing deadlines in a high-performance environment.
• Robust reporting and presentation skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
