Stx Group is hiring a Global EAC Trading Expert in Xico, Veracruz, Mexico. The role involves managing Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) risk, forecasting renewable energy trends, and improving market assessments. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in quantitative trading, preferably with knowledge of renewable energy. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and programming skills are required. The position is full-time and offers a competitive salary.
We are seeking a highly skilled Global EAC Trading Expert to join our internationally integrated trading team at Stx Group. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to manage Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) risk, forecast renewable energy trends, and collaborate with colleagues to drive improvements and deliver impactful market assessments.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain EAC market models to forecast price trends and trading opportunities.
• Identify new quantitative tools and refine models for analytical excellence.
• Manage risk in both local and international EAC within mandated parameters.
• Analyze renewable energy markets, identifying EAC supply-demand drivers.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement and support ad-hoc impact assessments and analysis related to the EAC market and trading strategies.
Requirements
• 2-5 years of experience in quantitative trading or portfolio management, showcasing a proven track record in derivatives markets, particularly in challenging, opaque OTC markets.
• Exposure to renewable energy is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of complex OTC contracts and an affinity for quantitative methods, including programming skills like Python, R, or VBA.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or related fields, complemented by excellent English proficiency.
• Entrepreneurial attitude, work collaboratively and willing to relocate to Mexico City.
