About the Role
You have a passion for the renewable energy industry and a knack for GIS systems. You are comfortable in a role that will require a balance of high-autonomy work and team collaboration on projects under development. You enjoy organizing data and systems, streamlining work, and preventing errors while also tackling bugs and roadblocks. You can envision a GIS ecosystem from desktop to field app and are excited to design solutions, train team members, and maintain the platform.
Support the development of utility-scale projects by managing a diverse GIS project portfolio, guiding project decisions regarding technical approach, and cost implications.
Provide mapping support for all wind, solar, and battery storage project development activities.
Make presentation-ready maps, importing and standardizing data from various sources into a GIS platform, supporting the development of enterprise-wide systems, and other requests for geospatial support.
Manage ArcGIS Online organization, develop web maps and apps, and deploy field apps.
Document and explain assumptions with team members.
Develop and improve system workflows, and automate tasks to best support the development team.
Participate in weekly team meetings to provide technical support on projects.
About You
1+ year of GIS experience.
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
1+ year of experience in the renewable energy industry.
Experience using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS 10.X.
Experience with spatial data file creation, editing, and attribute definitions.
Detail oriented with strong data management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to shift focus quickly and efficiently between varying priorities.
Proficiency and applied experience in Python preferred.
Understanding of relational databases preferred.
Willing to travel up to 10%.
The salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000 with a target bonus. This range is an estimate, and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
