Job Context: The General Manager will play a critical role in steering the company’s strategic and operational goals in the maritime supply and simulation industry. The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with government and defense procurement mechanisms, capable of managing high-value technical projects, and experienced in cultivating international partnerships. Operating from our Chattogram office, the GM will be responsible for driving sustainable business expansion while ensuring excellence in service delivery and client satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge maritime technology and to make a substantial impact in the maritime education and services sector in Bangladesh and beyond.

Job Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Lead the overall operations, growth planning, and execution of business strategies for maritime simulator and equipment supply and services.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in local and international markets, especially in maritime training, defense, and government sectors.
• Project Management: Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles including planning, budgeting, procurement, installation, testing, and client handover.
• Tender & Proposal Management: Lead the preparation of EOIs, RFPs, technical and financial proposals, tender documentation, and compliance for government and international bids.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, foreign principals, equipment manufacturers, and government bodies.
• Team Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, project staff, logistics, and administrative personnel to ensure on-time and quality delivery.
• Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination: Supervise sourcing, negotiation, and coordination with global and local vendors for timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on the integration, customization, and commissioning of maritime simulators and technical equipment in collaboration with engineers.
• Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all operations align with regulatory, safety, and quality standards relevant to the maritime and defense sectors.
• Reporting & Communication: Report directly to senior management on project status, financials, risks, and business opportunities; ensure clear communication across all levels.
• Travel & Representation: Represent the company in client meetings, trade shows, and international vendor negotiations as required.

Educational Requirements
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Masters in Engineering (MEngg) in Marine Engineering
• Master of Business Studies (MBS) in International Business
• Masters in Engineering (MEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Additional certifications in Project Management, Procurement or Marine Systems/Simulation will be considered an asset.
