Sinobangla Industries Ltd - a 100% export oriented China-Bangladesh joint venture Company engaged in production of WPP & FIBC bag, is looking for suitable candidate to fill up the following vacancy at factory, 30 km from Dhaka, on Dhaka-Chittagong highway;

Job description:

The General Manager’s primary responsibilities include leading the operation, maintenance and HR staff, the daily management and coordination of plant operations including production, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with all labor, safety, environmental, corporate policies and regulations. This is a hands-on position that is responsible for maximizing daily production while minimizing costs and wastage. This position plays an integral part in plant operations, special projects, and has responsibility developing and maintaining a motivated staff and for developing and achieving budgetary and production targets.
• Develop the manufacturing plan and follows-u on the plan to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Ensure effective coordination between various production departments.
• Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
• Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and wastage.
• Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
• Initiate and coordinate major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs etc.)

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Science (BSc)
• Bachelor`s degree in Engineering.

Experience Requirements
• At least 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements
• Recent "hands-on" experience (at least 10 years) of managing a team in a production environment.
• Familiarity with gathering, analyzing, and acting upon production, quality and maintenance data.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
• Quantifiable evidence of reducing costs, wastage and improving productivity.
• Ability to effectively manage their time and that of others.
• The General Manager will face production deadlines, shipping dates and more and must prioritize accordingly.
• Regular travel to the factory is essential. Company transport shall be provided
