Duties Description Duration: May/June – September 2025 (Summer)Hours: 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday. Potentially flexible.Overview
• The Climate Smart Facilities intern will support the Palisades Region in the assessment and mapping of infrastructure to assess threats from climate change impacts and develop resiliency plans.
• Interns work up to 37.5 hours/week.Job Duties
• With Regional Staff, expand the current database facilities, infrastructure, and habitats that are potentially threatened by climate change.
• Using GIS, survey the elements of the list and develop a geodatabase that includes location, condition information, photographs, and other info as desired.
• Analyze data and develop reports as need to assist in the preparation of a resiliency plan for the region’s infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications Qualifications
• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in environmental studies, GIS, or similar discipline.
• Must have expertise with GPS/GIS and be able to collect data independently in a variety of conditions
