About the position

As a GIS Analyst (Environmental Science Senior Associate to Specialist) at Pantex, you will play a crucial role in managing the ESRI ArcGIS software for all users at the facility. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the software is updated and meets the necessary standards in collaboration with Software Quality Assurance, Cyber Security, and Information Technology teams. You will manage and update ArcGIS data and the enterprise geodatabase, developing new data as required to support various environmental projects. In this position, you will also be responsible for developing scopes of work and serving as the technical representative for contracts related to data collection, including LiDAR data. You will evaluate survey data and incorporate it into the ArcGIS data as needed, ensuring the long-term viability of the data. Additionally, you will provide support for tools developed with ArcGIS and assist in the development of maps to support environmental compliance and other departmental projects. Responsibilities
• Manage the ESRI ArcGIS software at Pantex for all users.

• Work with Software Quality Assurance, Cyber Security, and Information Technology to ensure that ArcGIS is appropriately updated and meets standards for Pantex.

• Manage and update ArcGIS data and enterprise geodatabase.

• Develop new ArcGIS data as needed.

• Develop scopes of work and serve as technical representative for contracts for collection of data needed for ArcGIS, including LiDAR data.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in science or geography with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• Experience in ArcGIS Enterprise development and application.

• Experience in developing web applications in ArcGIS Enterprise.

• Experience with building Python scripts.
,
• Three or more years of experience in ArcGIS mapping, with emphasis on heavy use of ArcGIS Pro.

• Experience in ArcGIS desktop installation.
