Job Description
The Franchise Support & Business Development Manager at Cresswell Services in London is responsible for mentoring and supporting franchisees to enhance their business success while identifying growth opportunities. Job Purpose:
The Franchise Support & Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting and developing franchisees to drive their business success while also identifying opportunities for business growth. This role requires a balance of franchisee mentoring, operational support, and sales-focused business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Franchisee Support & Development:
• Act as the main point of contact for franchisees, providing ongoing guidance and support.
• Conduct regular business reviews with franchisees, offering strategic advice to improve performance.
• Assist franchisees in business planning, operational efficiency, and customer retention.
• Ensure franchisees adhere to brand standards and operational guidelines.
• Provide training and mentoring on business management, sales, and customer service.
Business Development & Sales Growth:
• Identify and implement strategies to help franchisees grow their customer base and increase revenue.
• Support franchisees with lead generation, networking, and local marketing initiatives.
• Work with franchisees to secure new commercial cleaning contracts and maintain client relationships.
• Provide insights on local market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
Compliance & Brand Standards:
• Ensure franchisees operate in compliance with franchise agreements, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct audits and site visits to monitor service quality and brand representation.
• Assist franchisees in addressing operational challenges and implementing best practices.
Franchise Expansion & Recruitment Support:
• Assist in identifying new franchise opportunities and supporting the recruitment of new franchisees.
• Help onboard new franchisees by providing training and ensuring a smooth transition into the network.
• Work closely with the marketing team to support franchise recruitment campaigns.
Relationship Management:
• Develop strong relationships with franchisees, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Liaise with internal teams (operations, marketing, finance) to ensure franchisees receive full business support.
• Mediate and resolve any disputes or concerns raised by franchisees.
Key Skills & Competencies:
• Franchise Support Experience: Strong background in mentoring, supporting, or managing franchisees.
• Business Development: Proven ability to help businesses grow through sales, marketing, and operational strategies.
• Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with franchisees and clients effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and provide strategic solutions.
• Sales & Negotiation: Ability to support franchisees in acquiring new clients and expanding their businesses.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of commercial cleaning services, contracts, and operational requirements.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience in franchise support, business development, or operations management, preferably in the commercial cleaning or service sector.
• Strong background in B2B sales and account management.
• Knowledge of franchise operations, agreements, and compliance.
• Experience in mentoring small business owners or franchisees.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the UK.
