About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced forklift operator to join the team based in Chipping Norton on a fulltime basis.

Working as part of the production team at our recycling facility, the Forklift Operator is responsible for the removal of waste materials from multiple location, loading and unloading trucks and keeping the plant mobile areas clean and free of contaminants.

This role will not only include operating a forklift, it will also include the following.
• Spotting
• Waste Inspecting
• Site maintenance and house keeping
• Customer service

Role Responsibilities:
• Moving of waste material from bays/bins to assigned areas.
• Movement of materials from plant shute areas to relevant bays or as required.
• Using forklift attachments for lifting.
• Assist with hand off load and other operational requirements as required.
• Unload and load trucks.
• Report repair issues to the Supervisor.
• Housekeeping of plant & immediate area as required.
• Conduct maintenance and refuelling of machine daily.
• Daily prestart checks of machines; and
• Maintain material quality.
• Conduct all tasks in a safe manner.
• Report any hazards/ incidents to Site Supervisor.
• Ensure correct PPE is always worn.
• Notify Plant Supervisor of any hazardous material on site; and
• Follow all relevant safety policies and procedures.

What you will need:
• A forklift licence
• Experience operating a forklift
• Experience within a Waste Recycling facility would be highly regarded
