Forestry and Vegetation Management Members

American Conservation Experience is seeking Forestry and Vegetation Management Members to assist with resource management activities at Yellowstone National Park. Responsibilities include invasive plant removal, forest surveys, and data collection. Members will receive training and gain hands-on experience in managing park vegetation. This is an internship position based in Flagstaff, AZ, with no degree required.
Forestry and Vegetation Management Members Summary American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit Conservation Corps, in partnership with Yellowstone National Park, is seeking Two Vegetation Management Members and One Forestry Management Member. These members will collaborate with park staff, Youth Corps, and other organizations to assist with field and office projects. Responsibilities include performing various resource management activities such as revegetation, invasive plant removal, forest surveys and monitoring, forest pest sampling, hazardous tree assessment and removal, GPS and GIS data collection and analysis, seed collection, plant nursery, and site maintenance. Members will receive training in park operations and gain hands-on experience in monitoring and managing park vegetation and forest resources, with opportunities to collaborate alongside National Park Service staff.
