CA State Parks is hiring two seasonal Forestry Aides in Grass Valley, CA, for 9-10 months to assist with invasive plant removal and plant surveys in the Sierra Nevada region. Ideal candidates are plant enthusiasts with some college experience in botany or ecology. The role involves ecological restoration and native plant propagation at multiple state parks, using various tools for invasive plant control.

We are seeking 2 seasonal Forestry Aides to assist with removing Invasive plants and perform plant surveys in multiple State Parks in the Sierra Nevada region, including Lake Tahoe. Positions work for 9-10 months per year with a seasonal layoff. Based out of the Grass Valley / Nevada City area. We are looking for people with some college experience in botany, ecology, restoration, and anyone with professional experience in landscaping, horticulture and weed abatement. We use all different tools for invasive plant removal including weed-eaters.
