MorePeople is seeking a Forest Manager/Senior Forest Manager in Lockerbie, UK, to manage sustainable forestry operations. What You Will Be Doing
• Deliver high-quality woodland management and forestry contracting services to both existing and new clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare client budgets, reports, and manage work programmes and grant applications.
• Oversee and manage productive forestry operations.
• Lead the planning and implementation of new woodland creation projects.
• Collaborate with local teams in forestry, business development, forest investment, and harvesting.
• Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service and long-term value.
• Focus on delivering high-quality forest management and maximizing client experience.
What You Need
• Proven experience in forestry or a related sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial practices and relationship management.
• Knowledge of upland conifer forest management.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial and client relationship management skills.
• Business development experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with the UK Forester Standard and UKWAS.
• Knowledge of Forestry Grant Schemes (desirable).
• Professional membership (e.g., Institute of Chartered Foresters) is a plus.
• Full UK driving license (required for travel across the region).
