Job Description

Joule Energy seeks a detail-oriented DC Foreman in Louisiana to lead a team in constructing utility-scale solar sites. Responsibilities include supervising electricians, ensuring safety and compliance, preparing reports, and understanding electrical systems. Job Purpose:

Joule Energy is looking for a detail oriented DC Foreman to help lead a team in the construction of utility scale solar sites across the US. This person will be a key leader in the field, overseeing a team of Joule employees and temps, as well as managing the schedule in conjunction with the Site Superintendent and Electrical Superintendent. Our DC Foremen work closely with the team in the field to ensure projects are built safely, on time , and on budget.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Effectively supervise a crew of 10-15 Journeyman Electricians, Apprentice Electricians, Electrical Helpers, and/or temporary workers
• Thorough knowledge of Safe Electrical Practices, Codes, and where to find safety information.
• Ability to instruct Apprentice and Electrical Helpers on all safety measures related to tasks
• Prepare accurate and detailed reports of tasks and completion status in a timely manner
• Strong ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems:
• DC/ACcable schedules (CABLE MATH)
• Conduits
• Raceways
• Trenching
• Equipment Pads or Racking
• Ability to terminate/land DC cables
• General knowledge of data acquisition systems

Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of OSHA 10, OSHA 30 preferred
• Electrician license required in state of practice or 5-8 years of electrical experience
• Valid driver's license in state of practice and applicable insurance

Specific Terms:

Working Conditions - This position requires the employee to work outside in all weather conditions.

Physical Requirements - This job is physically demanding and requires employees to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.

Benefits:
• Per diem: Per diem is paid seven days a week.
• Rest & Recuperation Policy: Field employees work on a six week cycle with four days off after each six week period.The company will pay for a round trip flight for the four days off.
• 80 hrs paid vacation (after 90 days of employment)
• unlimited unpaid personal leave (eligible immediately)
• 8 hrs paid volunteering per quarter (eligible immediately)
• Insurance starts on the first of the month after 60 days of employment
