Salary: Up to £42,000 D.O.E
Great role for a STEM graduate or someone with a few years of experience in the energy sector
Gravitas is partnered with a major UK energy organisation seeking a Flexibility & Renewables Analyst to support the delivery, optimisation and growth of their flexibility services and renewable certificate operations. This is a highly analytical, process‑driven role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, data accuracy, operational excellence and working across two of the fastest‑growing areas of the energy industry.
You’ll play a key role in onboarding customers, managing asset and portfolio data, supporting financial settlements, and helping drive improvements in flexibility tendering, modelling and operational processes. You’ll also contribute to the renewable certificates business line through trade capture, pricing support, invoicing tasks and process refinement.
This role offers a rare opportunity to build expertise across both flexibility markets and renewable certification within a leading clean‑energy organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Coordinating onboarding of new customers into financial and operational systems.
Maintaining and improving dashboards, analytical tools and performance reporting.
Registering customers and assets for grid flexibility programmes.
Supporting certificate process development, documentation and operational execution.
Optimising and maintaining certificate pricing models and responding to price enquiries.
Ensuring adherence to internal processes, compliance requirements and risk frameworks.
Managing accurate customer and asset data to support operational decision‑making.
Developing simple scripts and tools to automate checks on market and settlement data.
Contributing to flexibility tender submissions through market research and scenario modelling.
Supporting bidding and trading activities with analytical inputs and data improvements.
Supporting certificate data capture, annual audit processes and stakeholder communications.
Carrying out analysis to improve market, customer and operational intelligence.
What We’re Looking For
Interest in the energy sector, especially flexibility, renewables and sustainability.
Analytical ability with some experience in coding or data tools (Python, VBA or Power BI desirable).
Technical background in Science, Engineering or Maths preferred.
Strong attention to detail and process‑oriented mindset.
Proactive, motivated and able to identify tasks independently.
Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to support wider team activity.
1–2 years of energy industry experience or a relevant STEM degree is advantageous, but not required.
Desirable Skills
Understanding of energy system markets, grid operator programmes or wholesale/ancillary services.
Exposure to certificate trading, pricing or audit processes.
Experience building small automation scripts for operational efficiency.
Knowledge of customer onboarding or operational process design.
Experience working with commercial or analytical teams.
If you're looking to build a career in flexibility markets and renewable certification, and want a role with genuine development, ownership and impact across fast‑growing areas of the energy sector, this opportunity offers the ideal blend of analytical work, process improvement and progression.
