Duties Description: Sample fish (anadromous target species Atlantic sturgeon, Striped bass, American shad, River herring) in the Hudson River using large nets, seines and electrofishing. Fish are captured using one of the mentioned gears and then processed (length and weight taken) and tagged. Tagging helps track movement and also develop mortality rates for some species.
