Financial Accountant

Sustainable Energy First is seeking a Financial Accountant to support monthly Board reporting, annual budgets, and manage tax matters. The role requires ACA qualification, audit experience, and strong communication skills. It involves collaboration with senior stakeholders and external partners. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the Lytham office, offering a salary of £50,000-£60,000 and various benefits including flexible working and career development opportunities.
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This role involves supporting the preparation of monthly Board reporting, annual budgets and regular reforecasts. You will also manage tax matters, lead the external audit and statutory accounts process and drive process and reporting improvements using tech solutions.

You should be technically strong, a confident communicator and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and external partners, so clarity in presenting financial information is key.

Requirements
• ACA qualified with audit experience and up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP
• Strong organisational and time management skills, achieves deadlines
• Committed team player with the ability to work autonomously when required
• Able to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Can communicate concisely and effectively in verbal and written form
• Understands the implications of business decisions and aware of strategic objectives
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
• Innovative thinker with an eye for tech-based process improvements

💷 Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum, plus performance incentive scheme
