Job Description

Position Overview

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing the general ledger, preparing tax returns, and supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the general ledger, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company transactions and credit card statement processing.
• Prepare monthly accruals, stock, warranty and debtor provision
• Monthly departmental expense analysis
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage Accounts Receivable
• Prepare month cash payment forecast
• Prepare weekly Financial Summary for Management Committee Meeting

Compliance
• Prepare and submit GST, FBT, and Corporate Income Tax returns.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (AASB, IFRS) and company policies.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

Operation related Analysis and Control
• ESS warranty stock reporting and provision
• Support Global Operation Centre on orders related tasks
• Prepare monthly Excess Inventory Report
• Organise bi -annual stocktake

Qualifications:
• Three years’ experience in audit and one-year commercial experience
• CA or CPA – or part qualified
• Demonstrated commercial and analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with SAP or another well-regarded ERP system.
• Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
