Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will manage daily financial operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about finance, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the efficient running of the finance department. Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform regular bank, ledger, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and follow-up on payments.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Provide data and reports as required by the Head of Finance.
• Track department budgets and monitor expenditures against allocated funds.
• Assist in preparing budget forecasts and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide support during audits by organizing and submitting required documents.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progress towards a professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
