We are currently seeking an experienced Field Technician – Narrowband to join our team based at our Seven Hills site.

About the Role

The Field Technician – Narrowband will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Narrowband communication systems. This hands-on role requires technical expertise in RF systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities
• Installation & Commissioning – Install, configure, and commission Narrowband communication systems, including two-way radio infrastructure, antennas, and multi-coupling systems.
• Field Support & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve technical issues with Narrowband systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• System Testing – Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), ensuring all equipment meets customer specifications and industry standards.
• Maintenance & Repairs – Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Narrowband systems, working with the engineering team to resolve complex issues.
• Customer Interaction – Work closely with clients to provide technical support, training, and system demonstrations as needed.
• Documentation & Reporting – Maintain detailed records of work completed, including system configurations, testing results, and service reports.
• Travel – Undertake local and interstate travel for site installations, support, and maintenance.

Required Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in field services, particularly in RF and Narrowband communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of RF concepts, antenna systems, and multi-coupling solutions.
• Experience in radio system installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with RF propagation tools and test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, site master tools).
• Certifications in radio communications or RF technologies (preferred).
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and engineering diagrams.
• Must be willing to travel and work on-site across various locations.
• Driver’s license required.
