Job Description

Posigen is hiring a Field Service Technician III in Metairie, LA. Responsibilities include organizing service schedules, installing solar systems, performing site assessments, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining project records. Candidates should have construction-related experience, preferably in residential solar installation. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms is required. The role involves physical demands such as working at heights and in confined spaces. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities
• Organize and maintain the warranty and service schedule, ensuring timely communication and completion of work with an emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Install mechanical systems of ground or roof-mounted solar systems.
• Assemble racking and solar arrays, properly sealing all roof penetrations.
• Perform project clean-up, including the job site and working vehicle.
• Assist with onsite damage and roof assessments.
• Coordinate with Field Service Tech 3 to allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects.
• Complete non-electrical Field Service Dispatches (FSDs) and assist with electrical FSDs as needed.
• Update and complete FSDs within the Service Dashboard in Salesforce.
• Assist with inspections and site audits as assigned.
• Follow organizational policies and OSHA requirements, completing necessary training.
• Troubleshoot and resolve warranty and service issues related to solar modules, inverters, monitoring, and system components.
• Investigate and document roof leaks thoroughly, including checklists, photos, and observations.
• Assist with training and development of Field Service Technicians and support onboarding of new team members.
• Exceed key performance indicators such as turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatches completed.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain organized project records and communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
• Read plans, specifications, diagrams, and data sheets accurately.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through referrals and quality service.Education / Experience
• High School or Trade School degree related to construction, building sciences, engineering, or architecture preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in construction-related disciplines, estimating, installation, or site auditing preferred.
• Residential Solar / photovoltaic installation experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms like Salesforce; comfortable with online platforms and various devices.
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces such as crawl spaces or attics.
• Knowledge of energy-saving materials and tools used in installation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening.
Physical Demands
• Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions.
• Willingness to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and in confined spaces.
• Regularly required to speak, hear, stand, walk, and use hands for handling objects.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Occasional activities include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, with necessary vision capabilities.
