Job Description

Fluence is seeking a Field Service Technician for their Fort Worth, TX location. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in electrical or renewable energy industries, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with electrical testing equipment. The role requires frequent travel to sites, physical stamina, and a valid driver's license. What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
• HS Degree and 2-4 years’ experience working in the electrical or renewable energy industries within generation / operations / technical teams (solar/wind/bess/gas/hydro/distribution).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to electrical troubleshooting, read and interpret schematic drawings, ability to follow company QC and testing procedures.Preferred experience with:
• Bidirectional inverters, 1500VDC and 630 VAC systems, extra for substations.
• Using electrical testing equipment, including meggers and multimeters.
• Managed Ethernet Switches, Media Converters (Fiber & Serial).
• HVAC & Ciller systems operations & maintenance Other Requirements:
• Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions, stay focused/execute tasks, and work overtime as needed.
• Must be willing to travel frequently to sites within the designated service area.
• Able to operate company vehicles both on site as well as on public roads and highways. Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV record.
• Requires ability to physically bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, & lift up to 50lbs.
• Must reside within a reasonable commute time to the assigned site location(s ), 45 minutes or less is preferred.
