Job Description
Akkodis is hiring Field Service Engineers, Electricians, and Technicians for EV Charging Station Infrastructure in a remote role, servicing North and South Carolina. Candidates should have experience in high-voltage systems. The position involves 80-90% local travel and offers a full benefits package, including a salary up to $100,000. Responsibilities include maintenance of DC Fast Charging stations and improving field practices.
Akkodis is seeking a qualified High Voltage Field Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, and Electricians (all levels) for a full-time, remote-based role servicing the major metropolitan areas of North and South Carolina. Qualified candidates ideally possess field operations-related experience in servicing/troubleshooting DC high-voltage (UPS, EV Charging, or Solar) environments.
The role requires a commitment of 80-90% local travel in the current geographic location (closest to your present geographic region) below. We strive to maintain a great work/life balance for our staff, allowing them to be home every weekend and most every weeknight. An all-electric utility vehicle (truck/SUV) will be provided for the roles to our employee.

We’re partnered with the leader for building the largest universal national infrastructure for electric vehicles “Fueling Stations of the Future” by investing in a range of current and future charging technologies that will provide open and ubiquitous access to EV drivers along highways, in metro areas, at multi-unit dwellings, at workplaces, and through new mobility programs.
Our partnership has invested an additional $2.5 billion (and growing) over the next 10+ years in EV infrastructure, education, and access to support the increased adoption of EV technology in the United States, representing the largest commitment of its kind to date.
Salary Range: Up to $100,000/yr base while maintaining the importance of work/life balance within our culture. (pay scale is commensurate based on education, experience, and tiered levels)
High Voltage Field Engineer/Technician job responsibilities include:
• Leading the service and maintenance activities of DC Fast Charging station sites for risk mitigation, testing, data collection, corrections, and repair management.
• Plan and coordinate major site repairs and improvements.
• Audit field maintenance methods and feedback to internal and external partners to improve field maintenance practices' quality, impact, and repeatability.
• Develop and support site longitudinal testing activities.
• Conduct electrical forensics within the charging station infrastructure.
• Scope of work continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experienced professional service technicians, engineers, and/or electricians with current/prior field operations-related experience in servicing/troubleshooting DC high-voltage (UPS, EV Charging, Industrial, and/or Solar) environments are preferred.
• Operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium to high level (480V AC, 500V+ DC) is required.
• Must have demonstrated leadership in current/prior roles as this will help coordinate with suppliers, vendors, etc.
• Electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Immaculate written and verbal communication.
