Erosion Control Central is seeking a temporary Field Inspector in Edmonton, AB, for erosion and sediment control inspections. The role involves onsite inspections, compliance checks, and client interactions. Conduct onsite inspections at commercial, residential, and infrastructure project locations to ensure compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations
• Work directly with contractors, project managers, and site operators to troubleshoot erosion control issues and develop solutions
• Provide technical expertise and answer client inquiries about erosion and sediment control best practices
• Ensure compliance with all municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulations
• Maintain all required certifications, training, and compliance records
• Occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines

At least one year of experience in erosion and sediment control inspection, design, or installation
• Strong background in environmental sciences, water resources, or related technical fields
• Physically capable of walking rough terrain, working in all weather conditions, and driving between job sites
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Additional Assets That Make You Stand Out
• Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resources, Environmental Science, or a Related Field
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering plans and site drawings
• Certified Inspector of Erosion and Sediment Controls CISEC Certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
