About the position
The Delaware Nature Society is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Conservation Program Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in advancing our mission to protect and restore the natural environment through education, advocacy, and community engagement. The Conservation Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation programs that align with our organizational goals and objectives. This includes working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and policies that benefit both people and the environment. In this role, the Conservation Program Coordinator will lead various initiatives aimed at habitat restoration, species protection, and environmental education. The successful candidate will have a strong background in conservation science and a proven track record of project management. They will be expected to conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of our programs. Additionally, the Coordinator will represent the Delaware Nature Society at public meetings, workshops, and conferences, advocating for conservation issues and building partnerships to further our mission. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be comfortable engaging with diverse audiences. They should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
