Faculty Position in Climate Justice

Faculty Position
We invite applications for (2) two senior level Associate/Full Professors in Sustainability, Tenure-Track positions. Successful candidates will enhance, complement, and deepen our current department and School strengths in sustainability, environmental justice, climate and health, and education for sustainable development. The preferred candidate(s) should have a history of successful extramural funding as independent researchers and demonstrate expertise in one or more of our six Areas of Excellence: Environmental Justice, LGBTQ+ Health, Mental Health & Substance Abuse, Modern Biostatistical & Epidemiological Methods, Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health, and Violence Prevention.

Responsibilities
• Teach and mentor master's and doctoral students in courses such as sustainability, environmental policy, and climate change
• Conduct innovative research that addresses critical public health issues and informs policy and practice
• Engage with local and international communities on issues related to environmental health and sustainability
• Collaborate with faculty across departments on interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives

Qualifications
• A PhD in a field related to sustainability, environmental justice, or climate and health
• A strong track record of scholarly productivity, including publication, presentation, and grant funding
• Proven teaching experience and ability to design engaging curricula
• Demonstrated commitment to community engagement and service
