About this position:

The Facilities Project Specialist will work under general supervision providing support in all aspects to the Facilities Management Services Departments supporting system administration, large and small capital projects, and performing operations, maintenance and planning analysis in MT, SD and NE. This position will assist with coding invoices as needed including tracking expenses. The Specialist will assist with maintaining and updating building files and provide project support throughout Facilities. The Facilities Specialist will serve as a front-line contact for the Facilities help line. In addition, the Facilities Project Specialist will take a lead role in updating all records within ESRI InDoors, NorthWestern Energy's Space Management Software and maintaining all records within Asset Planner, NorthWestern Energy's Asset Management Software.

About this job:

+ Provide organizational assistance for the Facilities Management Services Department through facility planning, estimating, budgeting and invoice processing

+ Assist project managers with construction design projects by working with architects/engineers, building construction representatives and internal staff to insure that projects are completed on schedule, meeting budget targets and in compliance with local, state and international building codes.

+ Provide administration of the Facilities Drawing Database to perform a high level of interior design work on furniture layouts and small interior remodeling projects using CAD to prepare drawings and provide schedules and reports

+ Monitor facility inventories and purchase office equipment and supplies

+ Perform departmental support duties such as maintaining the FMS Safety Scorecard, coordination of Moves, Additions and Changes (MACs) for departmental planning and onboarding of new employees for office assignments, parking permits, etc...

+ Front-line contact for the Facilities Help Line and documenting and communicating internal customer requests through Change gear

+ Travel up to 10% to other plant locations, company meetings and throughout NWE service territory for on-site inspections

+ Required lifting of materials up to 75 pounds

+ Verification of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

+ Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills

+ Associate's degree in Design/Drafting, Facility Management, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent years of experience in drafting and/or facility management field experience

+ Bachelor's degree, preferred

+ Proficient with AutoCAD; preferred

+ Excellent written communication and organizational skills

+ Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Suite Products, SAP, PowerPlan or other department related products

+ Strong demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

+ Able to work with limited supervision and be innovative

+ Access roofs by climbing ladders
