We are actively recruiting for the role of Facilities Manager to join our growing family of professionals in Paint Lick, Kentucky.

The Facilities Manager will oversee and lead maintenance procedures and actions for multiple properties on Copperhead's Paint Lick, Kentucky campus. It is a professional position that performs activities for the upkeep and repair of office space, historic buildings, barns, storage facilities, equipment, trucks, landscapes, livestock, and farmland.

Individual is responsible for the development of a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance preventive plan for all buildings, HVAC systems, tankless hot water heaters, electrical outlets, bathrooms, trash and recycling, windows, doors, etc. for the firm. They design and follow a landscape management plan to keep on top of mowing, trimming, and garden maintenance.

Essential Functions

Technical
• Comprehensive understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems, native plants, landscaping, and general farming practices
• Solid knowledge of farm equipment, facilities machines and woodworking skills
• Ability to use hand tools and shop tools such as a chainsaw, circular saws, drills, sanders, table saw, chop saw, and planer safely and know how to use the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) required for each
• Conduct audits to maintain tools and keep them safe and operational
• Ability and understanding of how to paint and stain wood as needed
• Knowledge on how to mulch and trim trees, including fruit trees
• Understanding of raingarden construction and maintenance and the propagation of native plants
• Provide janitorial duties to ensure that bathrooms and common areas of are regularly cleaned and maintained
• Maintain and keep equipment building clean and organized
• Maintain and upkeep all equipment
• Basic/fundamental computer skills

Project Management
• Lead and supervise all maintenance processes and operations internally and with outside vendors
• Conduct regular inspections of the campus to detect and resolve problems
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities
• Assess and outsource to contractors when needed and supervise their progress
• Apply organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to tasks
• Identify an issue and solve the problem or issue independently
• Layout project plans to ensure execute smoothly with contingencies in place
• Ability to follow a checklist
• Complete tasks within allotted timeframe and follow through as needed
• Produce high-quality work in a timely and efficient manner

Financial Acumen
• Understands accurate timekeeping and project budgets
• Alerts management in advance of pending deadline or budget impacts

Client Service
• Interact professionally both internally and externally
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Requirements:

Years of Experience
• 3-5 years

Licensure/Certification
• Valid driver’s license

Degree
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Collage degree preferred

Software Capability
• Microsoft Office Products.
