Job Description
An exciting opportunity in our Mumbai office is available for an experienced, creative, and motivated Façade Designer to become part of the team. You will be collaborating with the best in the business, building on your specialised technical knowledge whilst working on the design of some of the most exciting projects in India and internationally.
The Inhabit Façade team is internationally distributed, and the team is location independent, enabling access to projects across Asia, Australasia, US and Europe from any location. We uniquely work across all stages of the project lifecycle, from the business case and advisory, to sustainability and carbon strategy, to detailed modelling, construction, and post-occupancy. This means that we have a focus on real-world results rather than the hypothetical targets seen in other parts of the industry. This role will see you working closely with other team members to carry out design engineering, project management and business development whilst also developing your own personal skills in design, engineering and materials.

Your typical day at Inhabit could involve:
• Developing different façade systems for a variety of climates, structural conditions, etc.
• Producing details of façade systems based on architectural sketches
• Working closely with other team members to produce concept, detailed and tender packages
• Development of own skills in design, engineering, materials, etc.
• Communicating regularly with design team and manager
• Attending meetings with architects and contractors
Qualifications
• Ideally 3 years’ experience in Façade / Curtain Wall detailing & drafting
• Degree or diploma holder of Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering
• Experience in providing 2D drafting using AutoCAD software in delivering Shop drawing packages / Architectural tender drawing packages for Façade / Curtain wall Projects
• Knowledge of Steel, Aluminium and Glass is required with proven experience
• Fabrication/Assembly drawing knowledge
• Proficiency in ACAD, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Excellent written and spoken English
Desired Skills and Experience
• Knowledge of 3D design software (Revit, BIM etc.)
• Knowledge of 3D geometrical analysis (Grasshopper, Excel, etc.)
• Knowledge of graphic software (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
