Job Description

Csm is seeking a Civil Engineer for the Experts & Local Partner Network in Sharjah, UAE. The role involves project oversight, technical support, compliance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and risk management for road projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 8 years of experience. Key skills include communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. This is a full-time position based on-site.
Invite for the kick-off meeting and provide the required technical support & explain the role of each party, the procedures to follow, the general regulations, required reports, and the communication plan.

Oversee project violations conducted by the contractors and report them to the management.

Monitor, control, and report monthly progress; perform variance analysis against the schedule baseline. In case of delay, investigate the causes and recommend corrective actions if required.

Coordinate with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure all their requirements related to Handover are fulfilled.

Review traffic diversions in road projects, submit to the concerned departments and teams, and arrange for site visit inspections for opening the diversion.

Ensure full compliance with the quality/specification of the materials/products and work done, managing inspection/testing activities regularly during the implementation stages of the project.

Identify communication requirements, correspondence policy, periodic meetings, reports, and information distribution policy and communication plan.

Ensure compliance of project handover in accordance with RTA project management policies and processes.

Evaluate the operation of major projects and follow up with adjustment instructions.

Identify project risks, perform qualitative risk analysis, plan risk responses, and gather all this in the project risk register in the Active Risk Manager (Enterprise Risk Management Software).

Coordinate with all RTA departments for the opening of completed projects.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities associated with the position.

Oversee maintenance programs and repair defects observed in major projects.

Conduct field visits to monitor quality and safety of work performed at the sites.

Ensure the list of snags and outstanding works is complete and properly followed up during the Defect Notification Period (DNP).

Guide and instruct technicians and engineers to resolve and manage obstacles.

Arrange for the completion of the handing over process for completed projects as per RTA process.

Review designs and drawings of major road projects and discuss necessary adjustments with contractors.
Education

Bachelor in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
Skills

Good knowledge of statistical methods and their applications.
