Executive Director

The Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance is seeking an Executive Director to lead efforts in protecting the lake's water quality and wildlife habitat. The new ED will take over after 15 years of leadership, during a crucial time for the organization, especially following recent environmental challenges. This full-time position is based in Meredith, NH, with a salary range of $100K–$150K per year.
The Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance (LWA) is the leading voice for its protection, defenders of its water quality, and custodians of its future. Through monitoring, comprehensive education programs, active stewardship initiatives, and science-based lake management practices, LWA works to safeguard the lake’s water quality, wildlife habitat, and recreational value today and for generations to come. Following 15 years of dedicated leadership, LWA’s founding President is retiring in 2025. Having been led expertly by its departing leader, LWA is a strong, resilient organization equipped to carry on the protection of the Lake Winnipesauke watershed with ample community support.
