Pure Source Recruitment is seeking an Events (Disaster Management) Coordinator in Brisbane, QLD. About the role

Join a dynamic team as an Event/Disaster Coordinator where you'll lead the charge in managing event and disaster response activities. You'll coordinate logistics, mobilise resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless, timely outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop detailed event and disaster response plans, with particular attention to building related incidents
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and service providers
• Monitor event progress and adjust strategies to meet operational goals
• Assist response efforts in the event of a building disaster or insurance-related crisis, including resource allocation, evacuation procedures, and communication strategies
• Assist the Event Manager as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration during response actions
• Logistics and internal resource coordination
• Assist the Event Manager with developing and implementing reporting and communication plans for internal teams
• Organise and lead training programs for event staff, volunteers, and emergency teams
• Maintain comprehensive records of all event and disaster-related communications

Skills and Experience required
• This is a busy and interactive environment, there are excellent processes in place and lots of structure but at the same time you need to cope well when priorities change and you need to shift direction
• A high degree of emotional maturity and resilience, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• You are proactive and enjoy problem solving and using your own initiative
• An ability to build rapport across the business and establish excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
